The Edicts of Clan Wolverine

Edict One : Masquerade

Reveal not your true heritage to those not of our Clan. We are Clan Wolverine. We are the hated and most despised of all the Clans. Our fellow Clans lack our vision and their jealousy would drive them to destroy us. The Inner Sphere, ignorant and greedy, would fear our technology and would come to pillage and loot. These must never know of us.

Edict Two : Condemnation

The spawn of Nicholas Kerensky are our enemies. Crush them wherever they are found. We are Clan Wolverine. Only we have the true vision of Alexander Kerensky. All others are blind and weak. The other Clans will one day return to claim the Inner Sphere as their own. On this day, we must stand against them, for they do not truly represent the revered Star League.

Edict Three : Honor

Do not waste the resources of the Clan. We are Clan Wolverine. Our exile has come at great price. Our population is small and our military reduced to nothing. Do not war unless victory is certain. Retreat when the day is lost. Do not mindlessly throw away lives and equipment for personal honor. You cannot serve the Clan after death.

Edict Four : Growth

Make the Clan prosper once more. We are Clan Wolverine. Our numbers have been reduced to mere thousands. Restrictions on marriage and reproduction are banned, save for the warrior caste. Warriors may marry within their own caste without restriction. Technology must be tantamount. We must make worlds inhabitable so that our numbers may one day exceed those of all the Clans combined. Only then can we crush our foolish brethren and bring peace and order to all humanity.

Edict Five : Ancestry

Civilians are granted the right to claim a surname. We are Clan Wolverine. The practice of removing a Clansman from his ethic heritage is unnatural and against the culture we live to preserve. Only warriors must earn their second name, but may claim either the Bloodheritage of their father or mother, but not both.

Edict Six : Culture

Never forget that for which we are exiles. We are Clan Wolverine. We had vision when the other Clans did not. The Star League was the ultimate creation of mans’ beauty and culture, not an act of politics or military might. Culture must be preserved through the centuries. The Clans have sacrificed it for military greatness, the highest hypocrisy. The Inner Sphere will crush it upon the altar of their own selfishness and greed. It is our duty and honor to preserve it, so that one day, the Star League may rise again.
